Our Founder
I became a Doula because I have a deep passion for helping families. Everyone deserves to feel empowered and cared for during their birth journey—especially those who might otherwise feel unseen or unheard. When you work with me, you’ll be supported by someone who sees you as a whole person.
Pregnancy isn’t just about doctor visits—it’s about preparing for a major life change. We can talk about anything that might get in the way of having a healthy pregnancy or raising a healthy baby. When something medical comes up, I will refer you to the right healthcare professionals. I'll make sure you feel confident asking the right questions. Whether you need help planning for your new life, sorting through big emotions, or building a birth plan that fits your values—I’m here for all of it.
If you don’t have family or friends nearby to support you, I’ll be that trusted person you can turn to. You’ll have someone in your corner who understands the big picture—your health, your baby’s health, and the life you’re building together.
I am a Public Health Doctor that was trained by DONA International as a full-spectrum Doula. I am also a Managed Care Expert with 30 years of experience. I know exactly how health insurance works—including Medi-Cal. While this is not always the case, sometimes the healthcare system can be unfair to some families. As a Public Health Doctor and Doula, I can make a real difference by helping you get the care, support, and guidance you need to feel safe and prepared.
Medi-Cal covers my services, so there’s no extra cost to get the support you deserve. Let’s work together to give you and your baby the healthiest, strongest start possible.
My qualifications include:
Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Global Health Leadership – Indiana University
MBA in Healthcare Management – Western Governors University
BA in Psychology – California State University, Northridge
DONA-trained in birth, postpartum, and end-of-life Doula care, mentored by Teri Nava-Anderson, PhD, ICCE, CLE, BDT/PDT, AdvCD, PCD (DONA)
Lactation and Doula training at UC Davis Medical Center
Active volunteer Doula for high-risk pregnancies at UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA
I look forward to meeting you!
